Although the changes are simple, the different does look like a huge overhaul because of how abundant leaves are in the overworld.The first change is that all of the leaves are now more bushier. They no longer look blocky. Birch leaves are replaced with pink cherry leaves and dark oak leaves now appears in a heavily saturated dark red colour.
